| On our way to Australia we had a short stopover in Bangkok, one and a half day long. We resided in the Anantara Riverside Hotel, that we can recommend thoroughly. On the first day we did a guided "backstage" tour - walking, boat and Riksha - through riverside living quarters and a little djungle and farm spot on the riverside. In the late afternoon we had a short walking trip through the city. The next day we added a Longtailboar Trip through the kongs (the city channels). As we had just 700 Baht left, we bargained a while and luckily got a boat together with another tourist (who probably paid at least the same amount ...). | Auf dem Weg nach Australien hatten wir einen kurzen Stopover in Bangkok, anderthalb Tage lang. Wir wohnten im Anantara Riverside Hotel, das wir sehr empfehlen können. Am ersten Tag hatten wir eine geführte "Backstage" Tour - Wandern, Boot und Rikscha - durch am Fluss gelegene Wohnviertel, einen kleinen Dschungel und Plantagenbereich am Fluss. Am späten Nachmittag machten wir dann noch einen Spaziergang durch die Innenstadt. Am nächsten Tag war der Longtailboat Trip durch die Kongs (kleine Stadt-Kanäle) dran. Da wir nur noch 700 Baht Bargeld übrig hatten, handelten wir ein Weilchen und kamen dann mit etwas Glück tatsäichlich zusammen mit einer anderen Touristin an Bord (die wahrscheinlich mindestens so viel gezahlt hat ...). |
