Beginn von Tag 8: unser Camper (es ist ein Schiff ...) im Camping Areal des Aurora Kakadu
Resort. Das Resort liegt schon im Park und hat ein nettes Restaurant.
Start of day 8: Our camper (it's a ship ...) in camping area of Aurora Kakadu Resort.
It is already within the boundaries of the national park and has a nice restaurant.

Unser Reiseführer sagt, dass bei Burrunggui die schönsten Felsmalereien des Parks
zu finden sind - und ein niedlicher kleiner 1,6km Rundweg (bei der winterlichen Hitze
genau richtig). Wir kommen gerade rechtzeitig für einen Ranger-Talk bei der Anbangbang Art
Galerie (einem Felsen ..)
Our travel guides writes, that at Burrunggui there is the fines rock art of the Park - and
a neaty little 1.6km circular walk (just right for the the winterly heat). We just arrive in
time for a ranger talk at Anbangbang Art Gallery (a rock ..)

Wir gehen dann weiter auf dem kleinen Rundweg durch eine spektakuläre Landschaft.
We go on walking the little round track in a spectacular landscape.

Höchster Punkt ist ein kleines Ausblicksplateau.
Highest point is a little lookout.

In Jaribu beehren wir den Supermarkt und den städtischen Grillplatz - sehr nett
an einem kleinen Teich. Natürlich gibt es Känguruh-Filet.
In Jaribu we visit the super market and the communal picnic area - very nicely situated
beside a small lake. Of course the menue is cangaroo fillet.

Nach einer nicht so ruhigen Nacht (ein Abend voller Stechmücken und eine Nacht voller
Wind) auf dem Malabanjbanjdju Camp Ground (nur "Basis-Einrichtungen" mit einer Menge Fliegen
- wir können den Platz nicht empfehlen) schlossen wir uns einer Ranger-geführten
3,5 km Wanderung an. Mit einer Menge interessanter Informationen über die Pflanzen,
die traditionellen Eigentümer und deren Felszeichnungen.
After a not so quiet night (an evening full of mosquitos and a night with a lot of wind)
on the Malabanjbanjdju camp ground (only basic failities - with a lot of flies .. we can't
recomend it) we joined a 3,5 km walk with a ranger. Lots of interesting information about
vegetation, traditional owners and rock art.

Der Strunk der kleinen Palme rechts ist gutes Gemüse (wenn sie noch etwas kleiner
wäre). Aus der kleinen Palme links kann man gute Schnüre machen
(wenn man es kann ... und sie etwas größer wäre)
The core of the little palm at the right is good vegetable (it it would be a bit
smaller). The little Palm to the left will make good strings (if you know how ... and if
it would be a bit bigger)

Wir verzichten auf die Palme (im Nationalpark darf man ja nichts pflücken) und
gehen lieber in Pine Creek in der alten Railway Station essen. Sehr lecker .. auch
das Frühstück. Ende von Tag 9!
We do not eat the palm (you may not collect plants within the national park) and
rather enjoy our dinner in the old railway station of Pine Creek. Very tasty - also
the breakfast. And this is end of day 9!
