Sydney (10.-12.Dec.)

	Our ferryboat on its way between Circular Quay and Manly. We had wind and some overcoming little waves in the front part! Nice trip :) --- Unser Fährboot auf seinem Weg zwischen Circular Quay und Manly. Wir hatten Wind und einige kleine Wellen kamen über den vorderen Teil! Netter Trip :)
Manly Beach. Some surf school groups are not impressed by the weather. Although it is not only wet but cool also. --- Manly Beach. Einige Surf-Schulgruppen lassen sich vom Wetter nicht beeindrucken. Obwohl es nicht nur nass, sondern auch kalt ist.
	Manly has its own microbrewery "4 Pines". And as they have a little tasting set, Karin can not hesistate (Gottfried had some gulps too ..). Additionally there were some beer battered fish and potato wedges. Delicious (all of it)! (www.4pinesbeer.com.au) --- Manly hat seine eigene kleine Brauerei "4 Pines". Und da die ein kleines Test-Set haben, kann Karin nicht wiederstehen (Gottfried hat auch ein paar Schlucke abbekommen). Dazu gab's Fisch im Bierteig und Kartoffelecken. Lecker (alles)! The view on the way back keeps cloudy and somewhat colourless ... so we find the next ferry that goes up the paramatta river to Paramatta, where the part that can be done by boat ends. --- Der Blick auf dem Weg zurück bleibt wolkig und irgendwie farblos ... Wir verziehen uns deshalb auf die nächste Fähre, die uns den Paramatta River bis zum Ort Paramatta hinaufbringt, wo der schiffbare Teil des Flusses endet.
	On the way back the ferry ends in Darling Harbour, where we get our diner (fish again :) at Nick's Bar and Grill. With a local beer, Squire, that is brewed in Sydney. --- Auf dem Rückweg endet die Fähre in Darling Harbour, wo wir unser Abendessen (schon wieder Fisch :) in Nick's Bar and Grill nehmen. Mit einem örtlichen Bier, Squire, das in Sydney gebraut wird.
11. Dec. - The sky stays cloudy and we take another ferry out to Watson Bay. We have a recommendation for the restaurant Doyle's there, and it is in deed worth the way. Beside that we have a little stroll to the lighthouse garding the opening of the bay to the ocean. On the way we have a nice view on some sailing boats doing a small regatta - could be they are training for the Sydney - Hobbart Race, that will start on 26th Dec. --- 11.Dez. - Der Himmel bleibt wolkig und wir nehmen wieder eine Fähre hinaus nach Watson Bay. Das Restaurant Doyle's dort ist uns empfohlen worden, und es ist in der Tat den Weg wert. Außerdem machen wir einen kleinen Spaziergang zum Leuchtturm, der die Öffnung der Bucht zum Ozean bewacht. Auf dem Weg dorthin haben wir einen netten Blick auf einige Segelboote, die eine kleine Regatta abhalten - vielleicht üben sie für das Sydney - Hobbart Rennen, das am 26ten Dez. starten wird.
	Back to Circular Quay we explore the oldest quarter of Sydney, "The Rocks". It is nice for strolling around and looking, having cappucino with cake, and a lot of bars are around also. --- Zurück am Circular Quay erkunden wir das älteste Stadtviertel Sydneys, "The Rocks". Es ist nett zum bummeln und gucken, um Cappucino zu trinken und Kuchen zu essen, und eine Menge Bars sind auch in der Gegend.
Walking up the hill we come to Harbour Bridge and have some looks - even with glimpses of sun! --- Oben auf dem Berg kommen wir auf die Harbour Bridge und genießen die Aussicht - sogar mit ein paar Lichtblicken!
	12. Dec. Last day in Sydney - and sun is shining! We walk from Circular Quay to Opera House and through the Royal Botanical Gardens to Mrs. Macquaries Seat. Having nice sunny views of the Opera, the Bridge and all! --- 12.Dez. Unser letzter Tag in Sydney - und die Sonne scheint! We laufen vom Circular Quay zum Opernhaus und von dort durch den Royal Botanical Garden zu Mrs. Macquaries Seat. Dabei haben wir nette, sonnige Ansichten von der Oper, der Brücke und überhaupt allem!
On the way back to the hotel, we touch Hyde Park. Do you think something is strange on this foto, or should palms and chrismas trees meet more often? --- Auf dem Weg zuück zum Hotel streifen wir den Hyde Park. Ist irgendetwas seltsam auf dem Foto, oder sollten sich Palmen und Christbäume öfter treffen?
	And now it is time to find our way out of Australia ... :( --- Und nun ist es Zeit, einen Ausgang aus Australien zu finden ... :(
