Teil 11: Northern Northern Territory (2. Runde) (35th-41th Day)

	Zurück in Darwin: die Terrasse von Isolde und Ian ist ein guter Platz, um die letzten Tage zu planen. Back in Darwin: the terracce of Isolde and Ian is a good place to plan for the last days.
Ziel am ersten Abend: der Corroboree Billabong und die Sunset Bootstour von Wetland Cruises. Ein echtes Highlight unserer Reise und ein wirklich hübsches Eckchen mit unglaublich vielen Tieren und Lotusblüten. Die Nacht verbringen wir dann im Mary River Tourist Ressort (auch nett). http://wetlandcruises.com.au Aim of the first evening is the Corroboree Billabong and the sunset boat tour of Wetland Cruises. Am nächsten Tag geht es gleich ums Eck weiter mit den "Original Jumping Crocs", einer Bootstour auf dem Adelaide River mit Fütterung von rund einem Dutzend Crocs, einem Seeadler und um die zwanzig Bussarden. Auch diese Tour ist sehr nett gemacht - und sehr verschieden von der gestrigen. The next day we just drive round the corner and go on with the "Original Jumping Crocs" another boat tour on the Adelaide River with feeding of about a dozen crocs, a sea eagle and around twenty hawks. This tour also is done very well - in a totally different kind then yesterday.
	Kennt Ihr den? Das ist der Wasserbüffel aus dem Crocodile Dundee Kinofilm. (Und Gottfried, natürlich. Einer von beiden ist ausgestopft. Ratet mal wer ..). Er steht im Adelaide River Inn. Know that guy? It's the buffalo from the Crocodile Dundee cinema film. (And Gottfried, of course. One of both is stuffed. Guess who ..). It is situated at the Adelaide River Inn.
Katherine Gorge! Diesmal schauen wir uns nicht nur die Fledermäse am Eingang an, sondern machen die "Three Gorges Tour". Eine Bootsfahrt mit ein paar kleinen Fußpassagen. An den Ufern gibt's auch wieder ein paar kleinere Krokodile. Katherine Gorge! This time we do not only have a look at the bats at the entrance, but do the "Three Gorges Tour". A boat trip with a few small walking passages. At the river edges we can again see some small crocodiles.
	Je weiter man in die Gorge hineinkommt, desto steiler und spektakulärer wird sie. The farther you get into the gorge, the steeper and more spectacular it becomes.
Abendstimmung in Katherine (der Stadt bei der Gorge), an der alten Eisenbahnbrücke - mit einigen musealen Relikten. Evening time in Katherine (the town near the gorge), at the old railway bridge - with some museum peaces.
	Fan-Tour zum Buch "We of the Never-Never" von "Mrs. Aeneas Gunn" (Jeannie Gunn), in dem eine Frau das Leben auf einer Outback Farm um 1902 beschreibt. Rund 100km südlich von Katherine steht bei der Mataranka Homestead eine Replika der Elsey Farm (für einen Kinofilm erbaut). Nochmal 20km weiter kann man einen Gedenkstein an der originalen Stelle anschauen und den Friedhof der Farm - mit dem Grab von Aeneas Gunn und einer Gedenkplakette für die Autorin (seine Frau). Bitte meine Ausgabe des Buchs am Fuß des Grabes beachten ... Fan-Tour to the book "We of the Never-Never" by "Mrs. Aeneas Gunn" (Jeannie Gunn), in which a woman describes life on an outback farm at 1902. About 100km south of Katherine, at the Mataranke Homestead, a replica of the Elsey Farm (build for a cinema film) can be visited. And about 20km further a memorial reminds of the original place and one can visit the cemetry of the farm - with the grave of Aeneas Gunn and a memorial plate for the author (his wife). Please mention my copy of the book at the foot of the grave ...
Letzte Übernachtung auf dem Weg zurück nach Darwin: in der Butterfly Farm in Batchelor. Netter Wirt (Chris), nettes Essen, nette Schmetterlinge, nette Übernachtungsmöglichkeit!
